Fish Oil Supplement

While reading Change Your Brain Change Your Body by Daniel G. Amen, I decided to start taking a fish oil supplement. I started taking 1 g a day.

I noticed improvements in my short-term memory and follow-through on small tasks in the first week. I used to constantly forget little on-the-way tasks like taking out the recycling on the way to the garage or taking out the mail when I walk the dog. It was frustrating because I was always backtracking to get or do something I had forgotten. Now, I almost always remember these things.

In addition, I feel less frustrated on those few occasions when I still forget. I less often think, “Damn, how could I forget that?” I more often think, “I’ll get it next time.”
